Artist’s Statement: When I moved to Strathmore from S Calgary, I discovered there is a small group of wood carvers that meet most Friday mornings. I had never done any wood carving before, and many of them had never seen any segment woodturning before. They taught me the basics of carving, and I started working on projects embellishing my wood turned pieces.
