Artist’s Statement: GaraWood’s sculpted ziricote rocker was designed for strength and durability yet pleasing to the eye. Long sweeping lines across the chair challenged the conventional joinery of a chair and pushed the artist’s math skills to the limit. Each element of the chair elegantly melts into the next giving a feeling of endless curvature. The complex grain pattern is exposed at every curve in the chair allowing the wood to tell its own beautiful story.
