Kerry Harmer -  Inspiration and Design ideation workshop

In keeping with SAWS members’ strong interest in design, we are pleased to have Kerry Harmer presenting at the November meeting. 

Kerry is an innovation designer and leads the innovation centre, Ignition, in Calgary for KPMG. She has an extensive background teaching design in higher education and believes in the power of design to affect meaningful change. 

Kerry has a Master of Industrial Design and designed sustainable furniture for her Master’s Thesis where she explored our psychological attachment to objects. Her passions involve exploring the mountains, eating in the city, and music everywhere. 

Kerry Harmer will discuss the various places that people get their creative inspiration and will share some techniques for coming up with creative ideas for projects. This will be a "hands on" "brains on" session, so come prepared to participate and leave with numerous new ideas to keep you busy and some strategies sto keep you coming up with more! 

Separate from Kerry’s session, if there is something you’d like to share with members or have a question to ask, if possible, please email Ed Marchand. Although not a necessity, it helps with the meeting timing.
