Annual Christmas Social Event - 2011
Tuesday, November 22, 2011
Wednesday December 21, 2011 7:00 pm
Scarboro Community Centre Hall
Our annual Christmas Social Event is open to members and guests.
From the High North to the Deep South, spend a year with Matt Smith.
Matt spent September and October of this year in Peru with his wife while she worked in the rainforest on an agroforestry inventory project. Once the program was completed they took 3 weeks to see as much of Peru as possible. Come on out to see a little of Peru, a country with more ecological diversity than any other in the world.
Not being one to sit still, over the last 3 summers Matt has guided sea kayaking trips in the high arctic. Just how high? Approxamately 700 km from the North Pole (that's like Calgary to Regina). Join in as we paddle with the Narwhale and Walrus, stalk Muskox, and defend our camp from Polar Bears.
