Exhibition 2001
24th of August 2001

This is the fourteenth exhibition mounted by the Southern Alberta Woodworkers Society (SAWS) in the past eighteen years.

The purpose of this juried group exhibition is to assemble pieces of fine woodworking with an emphasis on original design, excellence in skill and diversity of approach.

Entry was open to any artist resident in Canada and the submissions' principal medium was to be wood.

Works exhibited were reviewed by a 3 member jury of art and design professionals appointed by SAWS.

By holding a public exhibition, SAWS presents works in wood in a professional setting to further the education of the public and membership through exposure and discussion and to raise awareness of this parallel practise within the arts community.
